Flowers Ellen´s garden in the Catskill Mountains.
"Last November we bought a house on an acre of land entirely surrounded by ´mature´ perennial gardens. From what I was told, the former owner was a horticulturist and spent ALL of her time in these gardens. I, on the other hand, was a city girl my whole life with only a couple of house plants to my credit."

She cut it back to the ground last fall and this year has documented the wonder of a perennial garden, removing plants, giving some away, making it her own… and you can almost see the fairies dancing in the new spaces in her garden.

Slide show of garden
Christine´s garden
When you take the path to her backyard, you think of what might be around the corner… a cat in the tree… a lovely shade garden… and than you find a sunny patio to enjoy the ever changing plantings that Christine has included in her beautiful garden borders.

Gardenview in the Spring Gardenview in the Spring
What an inspiration when you visit this man's garden, and think about his dedication to a life long dream of what can be accomplished during a lifetime of passion for gardening.   This garden was my reminder that anything is possible… if you work at it long enough!

Desert Adventures Cilenia´s adventures
They had quite a time hiking the strange new landscape of Nevada and California… taking in all the sites they could as transplanted country gardeners from Ohio.   It was a true adventure as they hiked the hills and traveled the desert roads in search of wildflowers… they were not disappointed when they saw the desert in bloom!

My old backyard Louise´s First Garden
This was my first attempt at gardening, planning a backyard to be viewed from the back steps of our deck. Before I started the backyard was nothing but trees and barely growing grass! I spent hours planning, hauling, digging and planting, while learning what would grow and when it would bloom.   The hours were well spent, as any gardener can tell you… it grounds you!

Desert in Bloom     Just a few pictures to show you what 'Mother Nature' can do with a little soil, a little water, and a lot of sun!
Send us your garden photos and we´ll create a slide show here.   If you already have a web-site, we'll be glad to add your link to share with others.
